Scripture:
The Lord’s blessing enriches,
and struggle adds nothing to it.
Proverbs 10:22
Observation: As many of the proverbs are very straightforward, so is this one. For those who honor God and receive blessings, working even harder to achieve more and more for yourself is pointless. God's blessing is all you need, and everything you receive - you earn nothing through your own efforts.
Application: I am completely aware that all I have - job, family, life, health, home, rest, food, comfort - is from the Lord. He is my total provider. I have failed in almost every possible way to advance my own life, and he has succeeded in giving to me a full life despite my failures. I cannot receive more by struggling more, by working harder, or by grasping for something greater. The Lord provides.
Prayer: Yahweh Yireh, you are my provider, my strength, my hope. Lord, I seek you every day. May I always embrace only your will for my life, my work, my home, and my family. Thank you, my Lord and my God. Amen.
