Hallelujah and Amen

Scripture:
Save us, Lord our God,
and gather us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
    and glory in your praise.

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
Let all the people say, “Amen!”
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 106:47-48

Observation: Despite all the punishments against Israel, the final word is salvation and the praise of the Lord in the midst of that salvation. The Lord remembers his people and saves them, and is worthy of praise. That praise is not reserved just for the salvation, but it is critical in the hard times as well. In this verse, the difficulties are present tense, and the salvation is hoped for in the future. Yet all the people will say 'amen' and 'praise the Lord'.

Application: Today I declare it ... hallelujah and amen!! The Lord is my salvation, my promise, and my hope. I am struggling to not be afraid, but I know there is more to come. The Lord will provide salvation so that we may give thanks and glorify his name. Praise the Lord!! Hallelujah and Amen!!

Prayer: Lord, I declare it again, Hallelujah! You are my hope, my Lord, and my salvation. I praise you this day, and will praise you every day, and all the more noticeable to others when I have this testimony to tell. I look forward to this story being used as your story to strengthen, encourage, and guide others. And I promise it has corrected me to create the space to act better toward others. Hallelujah!! Amen.
