Memorizing my Lines

Scripture: After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!" Revelation 7:9-10

Observation: As John looks upon heaven, he sees a gathering of believers celebrating the salvation that comes from the Lord through Jesus Christ. The Lamb is their shepherd, and he gives them life-giving water and comfort from all their earthly sorrows. This great multitude declares that the salvation of heaven is from the Lord, afforded by the Lamb.

Application: I declare this as a believer in Jesus Christ ... salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb! The Lord God himself is the arbiter and provider of all grace and salvation, and it is a gift I cannot earn or in any way acquire for myself, except as a gift offered through faith in Jesus.

Salvation belongs to the Lord God almighty. I will worship him forever as the creator father of mankind, the only source of truth, and the great provider of love, mercy, grace, and hope. The Lord is seated on his throne, and my greatest hope is to celebrate his authority in heaven.

Salvation is granted by Jesus and his redeeming love, which provides the sacrifice needed for me to receive eternal salvation. He has covered my transgressions, even though I have no reason to hope for such mercy. I celebrate and worship Jesus as my savior and Lord and Messiah.

Prayer: Abba, Lord, salvation belongs to you, the ruler of heaven and earth, and to your son Jesus. I worship you with my heart and my life. Thank you for your gift of salvation. I look forward to bowing before your and worshipping you in heaven. Amen.
